Love, love, love Miss Tess, Tina, and Audra. My daughter loves dance and I love the confidence boost dance gives her. She has friends, has fun, and has a place where she belongs!

Tina and Tess

Owners and Directors

Miss Tina started her dance training at 3 years old and danced at Accent on Dance inBrookfield, WI through her graduation from high school at 18 years old. She has studied ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, and pointe. During her high school years she served as an assistant teacher which was her first experience sharing her love of dance with others. She also danced competitively throughout high school which took her to the Chicago area where she attended convention classes with faculty from all over the country. Although Miss Tina did not intend to study dance in college she carried her love of the art form with her to the University of Wisconsin Madison where she studied Environment, Textiles, and Design and earned her Bachelor of Science. While attending school she took a job teaching dance for Madison School and Community Recreation (MSCR). Seeing many opportunities for growth in the program, Miss Tina and her colleagues worked to add dance recitals to the short ten week sessions they were teaching, holding two to three recitals each year complete with stages sets and costumes. Shortly after she started teaching for MSCR she and her fellow teachers were given the Outstanding Program Achievement Award for more than doubling the size of the dance program through MSCR in such a short amount of time. In 2007 after college Miss Tina moved back to Milwaukee and started a job in commercial office design and shortly after received a phone call from her sister Miss Tess with the exciting opportunity to purchase existing dance studio Encore Dance in Menomonee Falls where Miss Tess was teaching. At 23 years old she became an owner/director of her own dance studio. And in 2014 Miss Tina designed and managed the construction of our beautiful new home in Falls Plaza II. Her passion both for teaching and running a business pushes her to constantly be improving both skills. In the summer of 2014 she and Miss Tess travelled to NYC to study ballet at a workshop for teachers with world renowned ballet dancer and teacher Finis Jhung. It was a priceless experience that has given her a refreshed set of methods for teaching ballet to her students. When she is not at the studio Miss Tina enjoys camping, hiking, and volunteering at the Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee.

Miss Tess started dancing at the young age of 2 and hasn’t stopped during the past 27 years. She has trainedin ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, modern, and lyrical. She is currently training in modern, Laban Movement Analysis, contemporary, and ballet. Her passion for dance has been strong ever since she was a young girl. Miss Tess was in competitive dance for 9 years and was a part of her studio’s Company and Performance Troupe. She attended numerous dance competitions and conventions including Regionals and Nationals. At the age of 16, Tess was awarded a scholarship at Dupree dance Competition and Convention. She was an assistant teacher from ages 12-16 and has taught as a primary teacher for 13 years. Her dream was to open up a dance studio when she grew up. Chasing her dreams she became an owner of Dynamite Dance at 21 years old. She has also chasedher other passions in recent years. Tess graduated with her Associate’s Degree in Fire Science in December of 2008 and since then obtained her Critical Care Paramedic License through the state of Wisconsin. Tess also has a love for children and has been in childcare for 11 years. She has worked in childcare settings and as a nanny. Tess is currently in the BA Dance Program in the Peck School of the Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Her plan is to continue to her dance education so she can provide the best dance education for her students.
